Referring to the total time it took to design, build and fly the prototype, the 57-Minute Wonder is a simple yet charming freeflight model. Designed by John R. Walker and his grandson, Matthew, the Wonder is constructed of balsa sheet and uses standard, over-the-counter parts. It is easy to build and infinitely customizable with magic markers. It is also a superb test bed for different wing and tail configurations, and is a great way to introduce younger pilots into the process of designing and building their own models.
